All live animal sells are final and we have a zero return policy once shipped. We do have a live arrival guarantee that applies only to the state of the animal once it arrives at the destination.
Note: All cancelled animal orders will be charged a $10.00 restocking fee regardless of the reason. Fees will be deducted from the refund provided. Why do we charge a cancellation fee? When an order is placed the animal and or goods are reserved and no longer available for sale to other customers. We also incur processing fees and charges when the order is placed that we cannot recover.
Reptile Lighting: Free Returns – Satisfaction Gaurantee!
If you are not satisfied with your reptile lighting purchase you can return it free of charge within 15 days of delivery.
All other dry goods can be returned within 15 days of delivery. If 15 days have gone by since delivery, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your dry goods must be unused and in the same condition that you received them in. They must also be in the original packaging provided.
Note: Perishable items such as isopods, feeder insects and frozen food items cannot be returned. Do to the perishable nature of these items it is impossible for us to offer returns.
Return Shipping
For acceptable dry good(s) returns we will request your order number. Once your order is confirmed you will be sent a return label. You will also be notified of the shipping carrier to tender the package too. You will then mail your dry good(s) to: Forest Monsters
Buyer pays return shipping unless the dry good(s) are deemed defective. A 20% restocking fee will be charged on non defective returns. The restocking fee and return label costs will be deducted from the refund.
Packages returned via “Return to Sender” will be refunded less a 20% restocking fee.
The time it will take for your return to reach us will vary based on where you are shipping from. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item and are not responsible for lost returns.
Any goods shipped to Forest Monsters without prior communication will be refused.
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned goods. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment promptly within 5 business days.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company; it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be sent to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he or she will find out about your return.

We offer a 100% live arrival guarantee on all of our animals. We also guarantee the sex of the animal to match what was stated at the time the animal was purchased.
There are however circumstances that will void the live arrival guarantee. These circumstances include:
1. The buyer or a member of the household must be present to sign for the package on the first delivery attempt (Fedex provides time of delivery stamp).
2. A delay in shipping due to carrier mishandling.
3. Temperatures at the hub or destination being under 32°F or over 99°F for reptilles and under 40°F or over 85°F for isopods .
4. Animals held for pickup at a Fedex location must be picked up by the customer on the same day as arrival. (Photo Id must be provided and match the name used for shipping)
5. A delay in shipping resulting in rerouting due to an inaccurate delivery address being entered during checkout.
6. Any Live Arrival Guarantee requests must be made within 30 minutes of the package being dropped off by FedEx or 30 minutes of package being picked up at Hub if Hold For Pickup option was used.
Isopod Note: Isopod cups are overpacked with 2-5 isopods. Live arrival guarantee does not apply to overpacked isopods that may perish in transit. The live arrival guarantee is applicable to the total number of live isopods equaling the cup count purchased.
Should your animal perish in transit we will need you the buyer to provide a picture of the deceased animal on its back and to contact us upon receipt of the package. This must be provided within 30 minutes of the delivery time stamp.
Live arrival guarantee only applies to the shipping period and is void once you take possession of the animal.
Live arrival guarantee will only apply to the cost of the animal and will not apply to the cost of shipping. Shipping costs for replacement animals are the responsibility of the buyer.
Once inspected and accepted, the well-being of the animal is the sole responsibility of the buyer. Forest Monsters will not be responsible for any veterinary costs incurred by the buyer or for the maintenance and upkeep of the animal.
We do not provide shipping for any of our items outside of the United States or to the following: Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, P.O. Boxes, APOs, or FPOs.
Forest Monsters reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at anytime for any reason. Due to the nature of our product we will not sell to minors and may request age and/or identity verification at our discretion prior to shipping an order.
Overnight Reptile Shipping And Isopod Shipping With Live Arrival Guarantee
Reptile shipping and isopod shipping days are Tuesday and Wednesday and NEVER include Thursday – Monday. Orders are processed in the evenings to stress the animals as little as possible. You will receive a tracking email after 7:00 pm Eastern on the day your order ships.
If temperatures at the carrier hubs located in Dallas Texas or the destination zip code are under (Overnight Low) 32°F or over 90°F we will not ship as it is not safe for the animals. We will ship on the next available shipping day that temperatures allow.
Note: We will only ship animals using the hold for pickup option during checkout if temperatures fall under or over the afore mentioned range. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND choosing this option at checkout to avoid any shipping delays due to temperatures.
Note: Our carriers do not require a signature to leave the package. Forest Monsters is not responsible for any package once it has been tendered to the carrier. If you are not going to be available to receive the package, we recommend adding a specific date to the order notes to receive it or choose the hold for pickup option.
Reptile Orders placed by 12:00 pm Eastern Tuesday – Wednesday will be shipped the same day excluding holidays and delays due to unsafe weather conditions.
Reptiles ship Tuesday and Wednesday for a flat rate of $69.00 via priority overnight service with early morning arrival.
Isopods ship Overnight Monday – Thursday for a flat rate of $24.99 or Priority 2-3 Days Monday – Friday for a flat fee of $11.99. You will see available options for the isopods in your cart.
We offer a hold for pickup option that can be selected during checkout for reptiles and isopods. Simply check the box next to “Hold Reptiles For Pickup at Location!” You will then be able to add your zip code and search for the closest location that accepts this package type. Once you choose the location you want the Order Notes will populate “Hold Reptiles for Pickup at Location” Along with the closest pickup location based on the location you chose.
Note: Weather conditions are taken into consideration at point of origin as well as for the carrier hubs and the package final destination to determine if an order will be shipped.
Frozen rodent shipping days are Monday – Thursday and NEVER include Friday – Sunday.
Frozen rodents ship overnight for a flat rate of $49

Dry goods purchased after 4:00 pm central standard time will ship the next day.
Note: Dry goods purchased at the same time as reptiles will still be shipped separately through USPS or FedEx 2 Day Service.
